Movie Review: Allan (Amarjeet) lands up in Mauritius on an assignment for Anthony (Sharat Saxena) a mafia don to get his girlfriend, Melvina (Deepal) out of danger. But little does he know that his unwilling act will lead to multiple problems ahead. After he honours his contract of killing a casino owner, Victor (Nagesh Bhosale) he realizes he has been tricked and that he is being hunted by a deadly contract killer, Khalid (Lucky Ali). As he tries to escape back to India, help comes in the form of Shaina (Tulip) a bar dancer. But despite having got that final chance to head back to India, Allan decides to stay back as he realizes some things are not what they appear to be.
What follows next is a cat and mouse game between Allan and Khalid. Runway has full chances of being run down by hard nosed critics but one needs to admit that it is a slickly made film with a script that carries tremendous potential. Though it begins on a slow note, it picks up once Allan shoots Victor. The plot then on is one euphoric ride on the roller coaster of suspense, drama, intrigue, romance and action. With a running time of just 1 hour and 45 minutes it is like those Hollywood action thrillers that keep the viewer constantly engaged. The climax is unexpected and very well executed. However, one feels the character of Lucky Ali could have been better etched out and also the makers could have kept Rauf Lala’s comic act more restrained.................

Asin Thottumkal , (born October 26, 1985) is an award-winning Indian film actress from the state of Kerala. Currently , she is considered to be one of the most popular actresses in the South Indian film industry.Making her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003, and won a Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress for the film.

Despite being overshadowed by Haasan's ten roles, Asin's portrayal's in the film were praised as her "best-to-date" with one of her roles being that of a Vaishnavite in the 12th century; whilst the other character was a Brahmin girl from Chidambaram.Dasavathaaram subsequently went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in South Indian film history. Since establishing herslf as the leading actress in South India, Asin opted to move into Bollywood, to get nationwide fame.

Her first film, Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan was the remake of her breakthrough film of the same name. Yathumagi, touted to be a light-hearted comic entertainer, is being produced by Sakthi Sangavi and Mohana Sangavi under the Chola Creations banner and is directed by Balakumar R. Debutant Sachin and Sunaina (of Kaadhalil Vizhunthen fame) play the lead roles. Music is by James Vasanthan. After a lengthy and tuneful prelude begins ‘Parthadum’, the first song of the album in Vijay Yesudas and Chithra’s voices. It is a frills-free composition backed by good rhythm. Benny Dayal renders the catchy title number ‘Yathumagi’ with a beautiful harmony at the launch of the song. It is a Mahakavi Bharathiyar composition set to trendy music. The next song too is a solo by Benny Dayal. In ‘Pesum Minsaram’, Benny’s voice dwells in the higher octaves for most of the rendition. Deepa Miriam’s ‘Thigatta Thigatta’ offers descriptions regarding the experience of falling in love. Belli Raj and Madhumita jointly sing ‘Yaradhu Yaro Yaro’ set in a neo-classical tune but the rhythm has a healthy hybrid of the old and the new beats. Also, one can find the influence of James Vasanthan’s earlier hit ‘Kangalirandal’ in the style of composition. Prasad, Ramkumar and Vijay Uma chorusly sing ‘Koothadichidava’. It has a rhyme and rhythm as its highlight.

AVM Productions’ next venture is titled “Ayan”. The launch of Suriya’s next film, Ayan, at the AC floor in AVM Studios on March 24, 2008. Ayan stars Suriya and Tamanna in the lead roles with a supporting cast Prabhu, Jagan and Karunas. Music for the film Ayan is by Harris Jayaraj. Harris Jayaraj scores the music for the first time for an AVM film. Ayan directed by cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand.
M. Saravanan and M.S. Guhan will produce the film under the AVM banner. “Ayan” refers to Lord Muruga. The film is based on the concept that Lord Muruga reincarnates and vanquishes evil forces whenever necessary. The story begins with the life of Karthik (arya) who is a successful architect and his life takes a turn when he chances upon Sandhya (trisha), the beautiful doctor. As expected, he falls in love with her and the romance gets to the peak. On a parallel track, there is Naushad (Indrajith) who lives with his son Imman (Rohan) but then they have a problem in the form of the football coach Eshwar (JD) who along with his dog is bent upon taking revenge for a strong reason. Meanwhile, the life of Karthik takes a turn when Sandhya gets killed in a freak accident. But the life of Karthik crosses path with the lives of Naushad and Imman. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. The film has been woven in a very interesting manner and showing two different stories in the start and mixing them in the later stages was convincing. While the first half goes about with the romance and the songs with the good side of it, the second half goes about with the thriller element giving an edge of the seat experience. The technical values of the film are quite high which makes it more impressive and though there are no mass elements, the film will go well with the class and the family audience.

In the movie, Raghuraman (Prakash Raj) recounts his affection for his daughter Abhi (Trisha) from the time she was a little girl and how she grows up into a beautiful, lovable stranger.
The subtle differences of a child's growth is etched through a narrative partly featuring the younger version of Raghuraman, played by Prithviraj in a neat cameo. And it is interspersed with the presence of her mother Anu, essayed perfectly by Aishwarya..............

Kadhalna Summa Illa, a remake of the Telugu super hit Gamyam is the production debut of Raj Television Network.

The film deals with the experiences gained by a wealthy youth when he embarks upon a search to find his lover.

Abi (Sarvath) is the only son of a wealthy man, a sole heir to a rich family. Brought up in a protective environment, Abi knows very little about life. He is carefree and lives with on the presumption that money is the most important thing in life; he believes he can achieve and acquire anything in the world using his inherited wealth. The inexperienced youngster knows nothing about the difficulties and hardships in life and spends his time surrendering to his youthful desires. When Abi meets Dr. Janaki (Kamalinee Mukherjee), he takes an instant liking to her. Janaki, an orphan who has gone through a lot of ordeals in life, is a purely service-minded individual passionate towards her profession. Though she recognizes Abi's interest in her, she is unsure of the strength of his affection and so she does not reciprocate it. Abi's ego is provoked when Janakis ignores his romantic overtures. Considering it as another opportunity to evoke fun, Abi challenges his friends that he would propose to Janaki and make her accept his proposal. Going by his plan, Abi proposes to Janaki and when she is on the verge of accepting it, she discovers the truth. Feeling cheated, she gives up her job at the hospital and leaves the city. Initially Janaki's decision does not offend Abi, but with the passage of time, he begins to realize her absence and the profound void it has created in his life. So, leaving his riches, friends and family behind, he goes in search of true love and his dear lover.
While on his journey, Abi meets Velu (Ravikrishna) another young man. Though not a rich man like Abi, Velu too does not have any firm ideals and ambitions in life; he whiles away his time in useless pursuits. Movie Review:

Director Suraaj has tried his hand at time-tested theme. An average-looking youth, who falls in love with a rich and a charming girl. He overcomes a gang of baddies who bay for his blood to eventually hold the hands of his beloved. Suraaj has tried a marriage between action and comedy. However a sense of deja vu prevails as the film progresses.
The director has strictly applied the rules of Tamil film grammar in the first-half as the hero is ridiculed by his father, he spends his time with a set of good-for-nothing friends and cliched sequences leading to romance blossoming between the lead pair. Towards the latter part, the influence of 'mirch masala' Telugu action films cannot be denied.............
